GMC Truck has a long standing history in IndyCar as being the official support truck for the race series. In 1991, three Syclones were “converted” to Indy Pace trucks with the use of Indianapolis 500 graphic decals that were found on the fender, door and bed of the trucks. These trucks would become known as the 1991 GMC Indy Syclones. Later, one of the three trucks would be converted once again and made into the PPG Syclone.
